The Russian military will not artificially adjust their actions during the military operation in Ukraine to a specific date, including Victory Day on May 9, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in an interview with the Italian TV company Mediaset. This interview is given by the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

“Our military will not artificially adjust their actions to any date, including Victory Day,” Lavrov said in response to a question whether there is any hope that the special operation in Ukraine will end by May 9.

He noted that the pace of the special operation in Ukraine depends "on the need to minimize any risks for the civilian population and Russian military personnel."

Earlier, the minister named the achievement of its goals as conditions for ending the military operation. “It will be completed as soon as the goals that I have already described are implemented and achieved,” he said in an interview with Al Arabiya TV on April 29.
