Alekseevka is under fire for the third time in the last two days - on the morning of May 17, Starovoit said that the village was shelled from large-caliber weapons, as a result of which three private houses were damaged, a car parked near one of them, as well as a school building. There were no injuries, the governor said. Then the cell tower was damaged, several cables were broken.
In the evening of the same day, the governor reported about the shelling of the Tyotkino border checkpoint from Ukraine. Later, he clarified that the territory of a sugar factory on the outskirts of the village of the same name was subjected to mortar fire. “The enemy fire was suppressed by the retaliatory actions of our border guards and the military. There were no casualties,” Starovoit added.
On the afternoon of May 18, Starovoit reported a second shelling of Alekseevka, this time with mortar weapons, there were no casualties or damage as a result of the incident. “Apparently, the enemy purposefully aimed at the cell tower, which had just been repaired. The return fire of our border guards and the military did not allow this attack to unfold, ”he wrote.
