The global economy has lost from $4 trillion to $10 trillion due to the CORONAVIRUS pandemic. This was stated by the HEAD of the Accounts Chamber Alexei Kudrin in a video message to the participants of the III International Municipal Forum of the BRICS countries.
“According to various estimates, the losses of the global economy from the pandemic range from 4 to 10 trillion dollars, and a significant part of these losses will fall on the budgets of regions and municipalities,” he said (quoted by TASS).

Kudrin noted that healthcare systems around the world were not ready for "global shocks", including a pandemic. According to the head of the Accounts Chamber, today the task of state authorities and control and oversight agencies at all levels is to develop mechanisms that will allow healthcare systems to become more sustainable and efficient.
