Bad weather in Moscow may affect the air part of the Victory Parade on Red Square on May 9, said presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov, RIA Novosti reports.

“The weather can affect the air part of the parade,” Peskov said.

It has been raining in Moscow since the beginning of May 8. “During May 8, up to 28 mm can spill onto Moscow, and on the night of May 9 - even up to 6-7 mm, which in total is 35 mm, or 68% of the monthly norm, that is, per day is 2/3 of the volume moisture throughout May. At the same time, in the period from three to six in the morning on May 9, there is a small probability that in some areas of the west, northwest, north and northeast of the Moscow Region, along with rain from clouds, in places it can symbolically and briefly break down with a 30% probability even sleet,” Yevgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos Center, told RBC.

According to forecasters, May 8 this year may be a record in terms of rainfall. Tishkovets noted that on average such rains on this day occur once every quarter of a century. According to the Phobos forecast, by the morning of May 9, 35 mm of precipitation may fall in Moscow - 68% of the monthly norm.
