Russian President Vladimir Putin will address the Russians with traditional New Year greetings, no changes in the format are planned, press secretary of the HEAD of state Dmitry Peskov said at a briefing, RIA Novosti reports.
“No, no changes are planned,” Peskov answered the question of whether it is planned to change the “interior” of the address, which is traditionally recorded against the backdrop of the Kremlin.
“We never tell how and when the president’s New Year’s greetings are recorded,” Peskov stressed.
When asked whether the New Year's address would differ from the previous one due to the special operation in Ukraine, the presidential press secretary replied that each congratulation of the president "bears the imprint of the past year and contains some basic phrases, basic messages for the year that has begun", "it will be so and this time."
