Congressmen gave five reasons why COVID was created in a lab.

The CORONAVIRUS is most likely laboratory-originated and spread as a result of a leak, according to a report by US congressmen published following a two-year investigation.

The document was presented by the House Oversight Committee's Coronavirus Subcommittee.

"Virus"Covid-19 most likely originated from a laboratory in the Chinese city of Wuhan," it said.

The report's authors presented five arguments to support their position. Specifically, the report states that the virus possesses biological characteristics not found in nature. All cases of covid-19, they assert, were caused by a single infection of the virus , although previous pandemics have seen multiple instances of spread.

Furthermore, lawmakers pointed to the presence of a leading SARS virus research laboratory in Wuhan. They said the facility has a history of conducting research under "inadequate biosafety levels."

Researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) have contracted a virus similar to"Covid , in the fall of 2019, several months before COVID-19 was discovered at a wild animal market. By all scientific standards, if there had been evidence of a natural origin, it would have appeared by now," the speakers concluded.

The US Department of Energy previously supported the theory that COVID-19 spread as a result of a leak from a Chinese laboratory, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing sources familiar with the contents of a classified intelligence report. The US government's national laboratory suggested this theory as "plausible," and the FBI also supported it, but the national intelligence agency expressed doubts about it. Four other intelligence agencies support the natural origin theory for the virus, while two are undecided, The Wall Street Journal reported. "There is currently no consensus within the US government on how exactly covid began," White House spokesman John Kirby said in late February 2023.

The World HEALTH Organization (WHO) believes that the most likely origin of the coronavirus is natural.
