The structures of Rostec became the only suppliers of the flu vaccine as part of the national vaccination calendar for 2022-2023. State contracts worth more than 26 billion rubles. pharmaceutical manufacturers controlled by the state corporation received without competition, Kommersant writes.

According to the newspaper, the Federal Center for Planning and Organization of Medical Provision of Citizens (FTsPiOL), controlled by the Ministry of HEALTH, purchased vaccines for the prevention of influenza as part of the national preventive vaccination calendar for 2022–2023 from Microgen companies belonging to the Nacimbio holding, which is part of Rostec. and Fort.

Kommersant clarified that the FTSPIOL purchased influenza vaccines for 26.6 billion rubles, that is, for 13.3 billion rubles. per year, which is 2.8% less than in 2021. At the same time, the center increased their number by 14.8%, to 69 million doses.

At the end of June, the HEAD of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova, warned that during the CORONAVIRUS pandemic, the incidence of influenza was not high, but now the virus may be more active. “The flu has taken a little “rest” over the past two years. There were no high figures last year. We assume that next season the flu may be more active, so everyone needs to get vaccinated, ”she said. it is assumed that at least 60% of the population will be vaccinated, Popova noted.

The Ministry of Health previously allowed simultaneous vaccination against coronavirus and influenza. According to the agency, preclinical studies of the combined use of Sputnik V and the influenza vaccine showed that the immunogenicity of both vaccines is maintained.
