Collective immunity from COVID-19 in the Kama region decreased to 7.2%

Over the past day in the Perm region, coronavirus infection was detected in 265 people. A day earlier, 267 cases of COVID-19 were detected in the region , and on August 6, 293 cases.

Not a single patient died from COVID-19 during the day. During the entire period of the pandemic in the region, 8,853 patients died from coronavirus. The total number of infected people in the Perm region has reached 375,686.

According to the Ministry of Health of the Perm Territory, since the beginning of mass vaccination in the region, 1.47 million residents of the region have been vaccinated with the first component. Of these, 1.39 million have completed the course of immunization - they have received the first and second components. Herd immunity in the Kama region does not meet the criteria of a “COVID-free region” and amounts to 7.2%.
