In the Kaliningrad region, 579 thousand people were fully vaccinated against the CORONAVIRUS. Such data as of January 3 is provided by the press service of the regional government with reference to the regional operational headquarters for combating covid-19 .
Both vaccinations were made by 579,127 people. The first component was received by 604,242 residents. In total, since the beginning of vaccination, 754,074 sets of doses of coronavirus vaccine have been delivered to the Kaliningrad region.
According to the Russian portal stopcoronavirus.rf, herd immunity to coronavirus in the Kaliningrad region as of December 30, 2021 was 73.3%.
According to the HEAD of the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor, in order to develop herd immunity in the Kaliningrad region, 80% of the population must be vaccinated. Chief Sanitary DOCTOR Elena Babur previously noted that only 1.5% of those vaccinated fall ill with the coronavirus.
The number of people wishing to get vaccinated began to grow sharply after the introduction of QR codes for visiting public places - catering establishments, shopping centers and large non-food stores.
