The European Council recommended to allow the entry of tourists vaccinated against covid-19 into the EU
The European Council has updated its recommended rules for the entry of foreigners into the EU countries in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The basis for entry without additional restrictions in the form of a PCR test or quarantine may be vaccination with drugs approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) or the World HEALTH Organization (WHO). The recommendation of the Council of the EU is not a legally binding document, the final decisions will be taken by the authorities of the countries belonging to the European Union.
Currently, the EMA has approved vaccines developed by Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, ASTRAZENECA and Johnson & Johnson, and the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine has also been approved by the WHO. Russian vaccines - Sputnik V, EpiVacCorona and KoviVac - are not among the approved ones. The recommendation of the European Council provides for the introduction of the so-called "emergency braking mechanism", which gives the authorities of the EU states to urgently restrict entry from a particular country or region in the event of a rapid deterioration of the epidemiological situation there.Spread of CORONAVIRUS Covid-19 in the world May 20 Number of confirmed cases of infection <1000 0 <100,000 0 <1,000,000 0 <10,000,000 0 from 10,000,000 0 Created with Highmaps 5.0.10010M20M30M40MZoom in+Zoom out- Source: JHU Data around the world i
