China denounces US statement about 'laboratory leak' of coronavirus

The Chinese Embassy in the United States has criticized Washington's attempts to accuse CHINA of a "laboratory leak" of the CORONAVIRUS. This follows from the statement posted on the website of the diplomatic mission.

“Not so long ago, some people tried to play the old political trick of drawing attention to themselves on the topic of the origin of the coronavirus. The smear campaign and blame-shifting are back, the 'lab leak' conspiracy theory is resurrecting.

The diplomatic mission noted that some political forces have tried to manipulate and blame others from the very beginning of the pandemic, while ignoring the needs of their people in the fight against coronavirus and cooperation at the international level. The embassy added that this position led to the death of many people.

“Some still turn to their old training manual. We can't help but wonder if they've already left this bitter lesson in the past so early? Or do they want a repeat of the tragedies?” the document says.
