The authorities of Kazan have announced public events for June 12. Concerts will be held in the parks and on the embankment. The celebration ends with fireworks

“On the Day of Russia, June 12, creative groups of the republic, Honored Artist of the Republic Aidar Galimov, singer Maxim and Andrey Derzhavin will perform on the Kremlin Embankment. The holiday will end with fireworks at 22:00,” Azat Abzalov, head of the department of culture, said today.

The celebration will begin at 9 o'clock with a solemn march of friendship of peoples on the Kremlin embankment. In the parks. Uritsky, Gorky, "Wings of the Soviets", in the square "Derbyshki", in the Central Park of Culture and Leisure, the concerts "For the Motherland, for Russia" start from 11:00. The evening concert program on the Kremlin embankment will begin at 18:00.

The festive fireworks can be observed from the embankment of the Kazan family center and the Kremlin embankment.

Last year, due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the holiday in Kazan was held without mass events. For residents of the city, online programs dedicated to the Day of Russia were prepared, and various flash mobs were organized on social networks. For example, it was possible to join the All-Russian flash mob #Windows of Russia and #Flags of Russia by hanging a flag from the window.

However, on July 3, a salute took place in Kazan in honor of awarding Kazan with the honorary title "City of Labor Valor". Residents of the city could watch it with their own eyes, and not on TV, as it was on May 9, 2020.

In the traditional format, folk festivals, on August 30, the Day of the City, the Republic and the 100th anniversary of the TASSR were celebrated in the capital of the region.

The Rospotrebnadzor of the Republic of Tatarstan then stated that the mass events held did not lead to an increase in the incidence of COVID-19 in the region.

This year, the people of Kazan celebrated Victory Day offline. On May 9, the traditional parade and concert programs took place. However, the action "Immortal Regiment", as a year earlier, was held online.
