Kadyrov threatened to introduce tough restrictions in Chechnya due to COVID-19

The population of the Chechen Republic must be conscious and vaccinated against covid-19 , otherwise the authorities will resort to severe restrictive measures. The HEAD of the region, Ramzan Kadyrov, stated this on his VKontakte page.

“Taking this opportunity, I called on our population to be conscious and take root. Otherwise, we will have to resort to tough restrictive measures,” he wrote.

In his opinion, refusal to vaccinate can lead to "sad consequences." He clarified that more than 142,000 people have been vaccinated in the republic, and 41 specialized points have been deployed, which receive about 5,000 people daily.

“At the same time, the situation remains under complete control,” Kadyrov added.
