The head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, shared a video of the hoisting of the Chechen flag over the administration building in Mariupol on his Telegram channel. According to him, the unit that occupied the building of the Mariupol administration was led by the former deputy commander of the Sever battalion Ruslan Geremeev.

On March 24, Kadyrov announced that Chechen military personnel had taken control of the Levoberezhny district of the city - they hung the flag of Chechnya over the building of the District Prosecutor's Office of the district.

“Most of the city has been liberated and the next actions of our armed forces will take place in a more accelerated manner. The fighters have figured out the tactics of the Nazis and can already predict their further actions, ”Kadyrov wrote.
