The Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Kama Region, Vitaly Kostarev, signed an order on restrictive measures aimed at preventing the spread of influenza and SARS in Perm. From February 3 to February 9, the head of the city administration, Aleksey Dyomkin, was ordered to suspend the educational process in full-time format in educational institutions (schools, secondary vocational schools, additional education organizations), as well as to limit the holding of mass cultural, entertainment, physical culture, and sports events. This was reported by the press service of the government of the Perm Territory.
At a meeting of the government of the Perm Territory, the Minister of Education of the Kama region, Raisa Kassina, specified the format of training for the period from 3 to 9 February.
“We are transitioning to distance learning. This is not a vacation, this is a remote format. We have free resources for this format of education,” the minister explained.
Earlier, RBC Perm reported that as of January 31, 2022, due to the incidence of SARS and influenza, the educational process was partially suspended in 1,431 classes in 245 schools, in 229 groups in 186 preschool educational institutions in the Perm Territory. This was reported by the press service of the regional Rospotrebnadzor.
The educational process has been completely suspended in 85 schools and 6 preschool educational institutions.
During the same period, due to the incidence of COVID-19 , the educational process was partially suspended in 832 (6%) classes in 151 schools.
The decision to close an educational institution due to an increase in the incidence of viral infections is made by the head of the educational organization independently.
