Rules for scooters

Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin instructed to hold a round table with business leaders, representatives of the prosecutor's office and the traffic police of the Republic of Tatarstan to regulate the use of scooters. Since the beginning of the season, citizens have used the service almost 500,000 times.

“Scooter riding has gone from fashionable pastime to a headache. Unfortunately, this is not only Kazan's problem. This type of transport is not regulated in any way by the current legislation. We had no such problems with cyclists. There are no normative documents and regulatory acts. It is necessary to regulate and agree on how and where to use scooters,” Metshin said on May 31.
