Lifting of covid restrictions

The leadership of the Republic of Tatarstan has decided to ease COVID restrictions. On February 19, the region published a decree on the abolition of QR codes in public places and transport, as well as a number of other indulgences. The authorities of the Republic of Tatarstan explained that this was made possible by the 80% vaccination coverage against CORONAVIRUS. At the same time, the mask mode is preserved. QR codes will not be needed from February 21st.

Preferential mortgage

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov believes that the preferential mortgage program in the Russian Federation should be extended until 2024 while maintaining the interest rate at 7% per annum. He stated this on February 17 at a joint meeting of the collegium of the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation and the commission of the State Council of the Russian Federation in the direction of "construction, housing and communal services, urban environment", which he heads.

In addition, he proposed to include the purchase of individual housing in the preferential mortgage program, which would also help curb the rise in prices in the primary real estate market.

Kamala theater project

On February 17, Kazan announced the winner of the concept competition for the new building of the Tatar Drama Theater. G. Kamala, which is planned to be built on the shores of Lake Kaban. The winner was the work of a consortium led by Wauhaus LLC (Moscow, RUSSIA ), Kengo Kuma & Associates (Tokyo, Japan), Werner Sobek AG (Stuttgart, Germany), PTM Architect Bakulin German Alekseevich LLC (Kazan, Russia). He was ahead of other participants by 0.7 points.

The cost of the project is estimated at 7 billion rubles. Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, co-chair of the jury Natalia Fishman-Bekmambetova said that the construction of the new building of the Kamal Theater could begin this year and be completed by 2025.
