Icelandic band won't perform live at Eurovision due to COVID-19

Icelandic musical group Daði og Gagnamagnið has decided not to perform live at Eurovision 2021 due to a positive test for the CORONAVIRUS of one of the participants. This was announced by the organizers of the song contest.

"In close collaboration with the European Broadcasting Union, Daði og Gagnamagnið has made the difficult decision to withdraw from performing live as they can only perform as a group," the post reads.

Earlier, a member of the group tested positive for coronavirus. The rest of the Icelandic delegation have tested negative for covid-19 , however they will also remain in quarantine and will be under medical supervision.

During the second semi-final on Thursday, the Icelandic song will be featured in a recording made during one of the rehearsals on 13 May.
