India doubles purchases of Russian oil despite US warnings . It is reported by Bloomberg.

The agency notes that the country is buying all the main grades of oil from the OPEC + producer - from the flagship oil Urals to the Siberian oil brand ESPO.

State-run refiners are now looking at private deals instead of public tenders to get better prices, Indian officials and traders said.

Joe Biden told Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi last week that buying oil from Russia was not in India's interest. Biden also added that the US is ready to help the country diversify its energy imports, but sanctions on Russian oil make it cheap and attractive.
