Ecuador introduces mandatory vaccination against coronavirus

The Ecuadorian authorities have introduced mandatory vaccination against CORONAVIRUS for the entire population of the country due to an increase in the incidence, the Ministry of HEALTH said on its website.

The decision is due to the worsening epidemiological situation. The country is seeing an increase in covid-19 cases and the spread of a new variant of the omicron virus.

Without a vaccination certificate, Ecuadorians will not be able to be in public places. You can refuse vaccination only if you have a medical certificate.

As of December 21, 12.4 million people in Ecuador received two doses of the vaccine - 77.2% of residents over five years of age (subject to vaccination).
