The scheme with obtaining several mortgage loans per day, previously identified by the Bank of RUSSIA, does not indicate a systemic problem, but is a special case. Oleg Lagutkin, General DIRECTOR of Equifax BCI, told RBC about this.

“The facts of obtaining several mortgage loans within a short period of time are found in practice. The number of such facts and their dynamics do not indicate any systemic problem, rather, these are special cases,” he said.

According to him, the scheme is not as widespread as, for example, the one in which a consumer loan is used to form a down payment on a mortgage. He added that the proportion of such cases does not exceed 0.01%.
