Earlier, immunologist Vladimir Bolibok, in an interview with the Moscow 24 TV channel, said that an omicron carrier could infect 100 people at the same time if he sneezed or coughed.

“Infected with an omicron [sneezing or coughing] can indeed infect 100 people. But everything will depend on the environment. it is important whether people around are vaccinated. When a person vaccinated with “omicron” meets, the infection process can stop in the upper respiratory tract, the mucous membrane of the oropharynx of the nose, the virus will not go further, ”said the specialist.

Despite this, a person can still be contagious to others, because the neutralization of the virus takes time, Kostinov explained.
