Frequent administration of booster doses of the CORONAVIRUS vaccine at short intervals can lead to an overload of the immune system, Marco Cavaleri, HEAD of the European Medicines Agency's (EMA) department for vaccination and infection control, said at a press conference in Amsterdam.

“Strategies that involve giving booster doses at short intervals within every four months can lead to problems with the immune response, the response may not be as good as we expect,” he said.

The Gamaleya Center warned about the consequences of revaccination every 3 months Society

Cavaleri urged caution to avoid overloading the immune system due to revaccination.

Previously at the Center Gamalei expressed the opinion that re-vaccination with mRNA preparations, which include the developments of Moderna and Pfizer, three months after completing the main course, could lead to unforeseen consequences. The organization noted that in no pandemic has the world moved to vaccination once every three months so quickly. The decision to revaccinate once every three months was previously taken by the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunization (JCVI) of Great Britain.
