Governor Andrei Travnikov announced the introduction of a general quarantine for schools in the Novosibirsk region. The HEAD of the region spoke about this during a press conference.
The younger students will be sent on a two-week vacation. For middle and high school, it is planned to introduce distance learning for one to two weeks. Students in grade 11 will not be affected by quarantine, but it is planned to introduce mandatory testing for covid-19 for them .
“Decisions are being prepared regarding the operation of schools and the introduction of a general quarantine. Now some classes and schools have gone into quarantine. A decision is being prepared on the general introduction of school quarantine from Monday, ”Travnikov added.
Earlier, RBC Novosibirsk reported that more than ten schools in the region have switched to remote work due to SARS and COVID-19. In particular, schools No. 207, 34, 23, 175, 41, Beloyarsk and Baryshev schools, the Regional Education Center in the village of Tulinsky, school No. 1 named after F.I. Kulish in the village of Linevo, as well as the lyceum "Integral" (secondary school No. 162), "Lyceum Technopolis" and gymnasium No. 11.
According to the operational headquarters, on the morning of January 26, 101,413 cases of CORONAVIRUS were registered in the region, including 11,612 children. 73,165 patients have fully recovered.
