The most lively topic during the live broadcast of the Governor of the Perm Territory was covid. First of all, Dmitry Makhonin spoke about the queues in Perm clinics. He said that on January 31, about 30 thousand residents of the city tried to get to see a DOCTOR. At the same time, the usual load of polyclinics reaches 9 thousand patients per day. Dmitry Makhonin said that on that day there were failures in routing in polyclinics, which had to be configured manually. In addition, the situation with the queues was affected by a colossal shortage of medical workers.

“We are reaching a plateau, which means that we can soon count on a decrease in the incidence and exit from the wave of CORONAVIRUS infection. it was not possible to save all lives, unfortunately, there is excess mortality. But this is life. I emphasize that the mortality rate is lower than the national average,” said Dmitry Makhonin.

As for planned care for children, it has been preserved for cancer patients and patients with cardiovascular diseases. The governor added that now the doctors of the region are fighting not only with the "omicron", but with the "delta", and the "delta" strain, as a rule, gives a severe course of the disease. Now more than 4 thousand beds for patients with coronavirus have been deployed in the region. As soon as bed space begins to free up, the authorities intend to resume planned assistance.

“No matter how one treats the work of the operational headquarters, decisions are made there. The level of vaccination in the region is lower than the national one. We have not reached the level of herd immunity. Why couldn't it be done? This is everyone's decision. But the level of morbidity, I am sure, is affected by the level of vaccination,” the governor summed up.
