The Governor of the Leningrad Region signed a new "antique" resolution

Governor of the Leningrad Region Alexander Drozdenko

The Governor of the Leningrad Region, Alexander Drozdenko, signed a new "anti-covid" resolution and canceled the requirement for mandatory vaccination of 80% of catering and service employees. The authorities of the region went to meet business, say experts interviewed by RBC, noting that many did not have time to fulfill this requirement by September.

Recommended vaccination

On September 9, Alexander Drozdenko amended the Decree of the Government of the Leningrad Region No. 573 "On measures to prevent the spread of a new CORONAVIRUS infection ( covid-19 )". The decision comes into force from today.

The most important change is that the requirement to vaccinate 80% of employees in a number of industries has been abolished. As RBC Petersburg previously reported, in June the Leningrad Region established one of the toughest “anticoid” regimes in the country and demanded that at least 80% of employees of public catering establishments, beauty and beauty salons, hairdressers, children's entertainment centers and playrooms be vaccinated against COVID-19. rooms, institutions of additional education, museums, as well as sports clubs. This requirement must be met by September 1st. Those who could not cope were promised to be banned from work.

In the new version of the document, instead of mandatory requirements for vaccination, 80% of the staff are only recommended to employers to take the necessary measures for vaccination.

In addition, Alexander Drozdenko allowed visiting the MFC in all districts without an appointment, but with the obligatory use of masks. As for medical care, it will be provided in all districts, regardless of the zone, according to uniform rules. Previously, in order to receive planned medical care in the region, a certificate of vaccination was required (without restrictions, only patients with diseases and conditions were admitted to the clinic, in which a delay in the provision of medical care could lead to a deterioration in their condition). The new government decree suggests that, in addition to vaccinated citizens, doctors will see patients with a certificate of COVID-19 disease within the last 6 months; a negative PCR test with a prescription of no more than 72 hours or the conclusion of the immunological commission on the medical withdrawal.
