faced major challenges ranging from rising inflation to the outbreak of the omicron. The Economist explains,

Just a year ago, economists around the world were noting how fast the recovery from the recession had been. However, now they are worried that the next crisis is approaching. The US Federal Reserve is preparing to fight high inflation by sharply raising interest rates and reducing assets on its balance sheet. In Europe, the rise in energy prices leads to a decrease in the purchasing power of the population and an increase in production costs. And in CHINA, a new outbreak of the omicron strain of CORONAVIRUS has led to the most stringent lockdowns since the start of the pandemic.

All this already looks rather sad in terms of global economic growth, but the clouds are gathering more and more. it is likely that several countries will even go into recession, albeit at different times, depending on the combination of circumstances they will have to deal with.
