The Hong Kong government has included the Russian coronavirus vaccine Sputnik V in the list of vaccines recognized by the government of the autonomy. This was reported by the Russian Consulate General in Hong Kong on Facebook.

“For residents of the city who are fully vaccinated with Sputnik V (i.e., provided that 14 days have passed after the injection of its second component), the mandatory quarantine will be reduced, upon arrival from Russia - from 21 days to 14 days of quarantine and 7 days of self-observation ", the message says.

The embassy clarified that now, when boarding a plane, Russians need to have a vaccination certificate, a negative test result for COVID-19 , which was passed no earlier than 72 hours before departure, and a reservation for a period of 14 days in one of the Hong Kong authorities approved for self-isolation hotels.

In April, the Russian Direct Investment Fund and the Chinese company TopRidge Pharma agreed to produce 100 million doses of Sputnik V in China. The company received the right to distribute the vaccine in Hong Kong.
