Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, head of the operational headquarters for combating COVID-19 Tatyana Golikova classified Tatarstan among the anti-leading regions in terms of the rate of primary vaccination against coronavirus. She stated this at a meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with the government.
To date, 47.4 million people have been vaccinated with the first component of the COVID-19 vaccine, and 42.2 million people have been fully vaccinated. According to her, in order to achieve herd immunity, Russia still needs to vaccinate 35.9 million people initially and 6.7 million again. “Obviously, these numbers are mobile and depend on the incidence, but they are monitored on a daily basis,” Golikova quotes publication "Business-Online".
The leaders in terms of primary vaccination, according to her, are the Chechen Republic, the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, the Moscow Region, Moscow, the Republic of Tyva and the Belgorod Region.
Golikova attributed the Republic of Dagestan, the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, Primorsky Krai, the Novosibirsk Region and the Republic of Tatarstan to the anti-leaders.
In total, 1,092,087 people have been vaccinated in Tatarstan to date (an increase of 3,200), of which 953,968 received a second vaccination.
