The chief ENT of Moscow compared the symptoms of "omicron" with SARS

The symptoms of "omicron" are similar to the symptoms of SARS, in both cases, treatment should be started from the first days of the disease, Andrey Kryukov, the chief otorhinolaryngologist of Moscow, told Argumenty i Fakty.

According to the otolaryngologist, the symptoms of the new strain are very similar to the common cold - this is nasal congestion, pain and sore throat, which can be treated in the usual ways. He emphasized that for mild and quickly passing symptoms, symptomatic treatment is sufficient. Antibiotics should be taken only as prescribed by a DOCTOR and in strict accordance with the intended course of treatment.

He noted that this omicron strain of CORONAVIRUS is usually mild and causes fewer hospitalizations than other strains. However, Kryukov pointed out, this option is considered more contagious, so you should carefully monitor your well-being and start treatment at the first signs of the disease.

Earlier, Svetlana Smetanina, chief freelance specialist in infectious diseases of the Moscow HEALTH Department, spoke about the similarity of the symptoms of "omicron" and SARS. According to her, the onset of the disease with the omicron strain covid-19 is accompanied by intoxication and high fever, headache and muscle pain.
