The World HEALTH Organization (WHO) has put on pause the issue of inspections at enterprises in RUSSIA for the Sputnik V CORONAVIRUS vaccine. This was stated by the HEAD of the organization Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus at a press conference in Washington.
“We haven’t done an inspection yet,” Ghebreyesus said. According to him, initially the inspection team was supposed to go to Russia a few days before the start of the special operation in Ukraine. Now “there is no way for action. Therefore, everything has been put on pause, ”he explained.
Ghebreyesus added that new terms of inspection to Russia on this issue have not yet been determined.
In mid-March, WHO Assistant DIRECTOR General Mariangela Simao announced that the organization had postponed an inspection of Sputnik V production indefinitely due to technical difficulties. According to her, the inspections were supposed to start on March 7.
