Scientists are unlikely to be able to create a universal cure for the CORONAVIRUS. Arkady Dvorkovich, chairman of the Skolkovo Foundation, stated this in an interview with the RIA Novosti agency.
“There are some developments all over the world. But I’m not sure that a drug will be created that completely cures the coronavirus,” he said.
According to him, each person's immune system may need its own set of drugs, methods of prevention, treatment and recovery, "than a magic drug that will cure everything." He added that the development cycle for this type of drug, given the rapidly changing strains of the virus itself, is quite long.
At the same time, he confirmed that subsidiaries or partners of almost all major Russian and foreign pharmaceutical companies operate in Skolkovo, which, among other things, deal with covid-19 issues . “Of course, they will have something. We continue to deal with everything related to digital diagnostics, tests, telemedicine to help doctors and patients in the fight against coronavirus,” Dvorkovich concluded.
