
Some Russian regions are now close to defeating the coronavirus infection. This was stated by the Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko in an interview with RIA Novosti at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
“Today there are a number of regions that are close to this, but the mobility of citizens continues, therefore, among other things, you need to remember that even where the situation is calm and stable in settlements, you still need to create a pool of vaccinated people,” the head of the Ministry of Health said. .

Murashko did not specify which regions he was talking about. According to the operational headquarters for the fight against coronavirus, the lowest incidence rates are recorded in the regions of the Far East, the Far North and Siberia.
On average, in Tuva, Chukotka, the Nenets Autonomous Okrug, the Jewish Autonomous Region, and the Magadan Region, from 1 to 10 new cases of the disease are registered daily. Among the regions with a low daily incidence of the republics of the North Caucasus are Chechnya, Adygea, North Ossetia. Also, low growth rates of infected people are observed in Mari El, the Kamchatka Territory, Sevastopol, Ingushetia and the Altai Republic.
