The head of the Ministry of Digital Development, Maksut Shadayev, said that he personally apologized for the failure of the public services portal, due to which some of the citizens vaccinated against COVID-19 had shortened the validity period of vaccination QR codes. He announced this while speaking at the CNews forum, the entry was published in the Telegram channel of the department.
“There was a technical error within the uniform form, and yesterday I personally apologized to the 300,000 affected users and promised to take this situation under additional control. We are now implementing additional counter-testing,” he said.
According to him, after the corresponding order of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Digital Development introduced a single form of a certificate with a QR code instead of two separate ones - a certificate of a recovered person and a certificate of a vaccinated one, in a "rather urgent" manner.
A day earlier, Shadayev also indicated that the failure with the timing of vaccination certificates was due to the fact that they needed to be updated, but there was little time for this. “We had little time to develop, implement and test, which is why there was a failure - the validity periods of the certificates of those who were ill and vaccinated were mixed,” he explained.
