According to the Foreign Minister, for this, Washington must recognize the power of President Nicolas Maduro as legitimate.

Venezuela is ready to restore cooperation with the United States in the field of oil trade if Washington recognizes the legitimate authority of President Nicolas Maduro, Foreign Minister Felix Plasencia said in an interview with the El Pais newspaper, a fragment of which was published on the website of the department.

According to him, the country's authorities will react positively to any international companies, including American ones, "if they recognize that the only and legitimate government of Venezuela is the government headed by President Nicolas Maduro."
