The head of Kraft Heinz offered to get used to high food prices

The HEAD of the American food concern Kraft Heinz, Miguel Patricio, in an interview with the BBC, said that consumers should get used to the high prices of food.

He noted that prices are rising for several reasons. Among them, he named the covid-19 pandemic , which disrupted the supply of resources necessary for food production. In addition, Patricio said that prices are being driven by supply, which has not kept pace with rising demand amid the economic recovery, as well as higher wages and more expensive energy, which have increased costs for producers.

According to the head of Kraft Heinz, in the future, the cost of food will continue to increase, as the world's population grows, and the amount of land on which food can be grown does not. At the same time, he added that in the future, technology will make the work of farmers more efficient.

Patricio also noted that Kraft Heinz had to raise prices for half of its products in the US , and admitted that the company does this in other countries as well.
