PhosAgro CEO Andrey Guryev named Newsmaker of the Year

“A high and unexpected assessment of the work of our team,” said Andrey Guryev, CEO of PJSC PhosAgro, when he was awarded the prestigious “Newsmaker of the Year” All-Russian Competition of Business Journalism.

According to the press service of PJSC PhosAgro, the founder of the contest is the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the jury also includes representatives of the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications and the Union of Journalists of RUSSIA and leading Russian media. And also members of the Club of Chief Editors of the RSPP and winners of the RSPP business journalism competition for the previous year. That is, this is a joint assessment of the business and media elite of the country.

Indeed, PhosAgro and its leader throughout the year gave a lot of informational occasions for Russian and foreign media. Andrey Guryev, as chairman of the RSPP Coordinating Council for Combating CORONAVIRUS Infection, actually led the fight against covid-19 at the country's largest industrial sites and in the settlements where they are based. The fact that this struggle is successful is evidenced by the fact that not a single enterprise of a continuous cycle has risen in Russia due to the coronavirus. And, as a result, hundreds of thousands of jobs were saved, planned payments were made to the budgets of all levels.

Moreover, following the results of the last “coronavirus year”, PhosAgro set a new production record by producing 10.2 million tons of mineral fertilizers (+5% compared to 2019), and also broke the sales record in the Russian market, which is key for the company, increasing fertilizer supplies immediately by 12%.
