Belaya Dacha Group of Companies has started construction of the first phase of the Salads from the Sea project for growing lettuces in the Novorossiysk region. Investments in the project will amount to 1 billion rubles. This was reported to RBC Krasnodar in the press service of the company.

The company plans to grow HEAD lettuce in irrigated open ground and baby lettuce in tunnel film greenhouses. The company plans to launch the project in the third quarter of this year, reaching maximum capacity is expected in the second quarter of 2023.

The enterprise will be located on an area of ​​850 hectares, the design capacity of cultivation is about 5 thousand tons of lettuce per year.

“The start of construction of our new agricultural project in the Krasnodar Territory coincided with a difficult period of the country's work under sanctions: there are difficulties with logistics and payments, with the refusal of some companies to fulfill already signed contracts. Our Italian partners, leaders in baby salad growing technologies in the world, faced difficulties in sending and delivering agricultural machinery and equipment worth more than 1,500,000 euros to us,” commented Vadim Matusevich, General DIRECTOR of Belaya Dacha Agricultural Holding.

According to RBC Company, LLC Salads from the Sea was registered in February 2021 in Temryuk. Vadim Matusevich is the General Director of the organization and the head of Belaya Dacha Agroholding JSC, which is the founder of Gardens from the Sea LLC. The main activity of the company is the cultivation of vegetables. In 2021, the company's loss amounted to 2.2 million rubles.

JSC "Agroholding Belaya Dacha" was registered in 2020 in the Moscow region. The main activity of the company: consulting on business and management issues. The company has registered 9 trademarks. The company's revenue in 2021 amounted to 157 million rubles, profit - 93.7 million rubles.

As RBC Krasnodar reported, in September 2021 it became known that Belaya Dacha LLC acquired about 850 hectares of land near the village of Raevskaya near Novorossiysk. The company intended to use the land for salad production and viticulture.

“We will need 300-350 hectares for salads, about 500 hectares remain. We will think about what to do with it - or it will be viticulture, ”the representatives of the company reported then.

Recall that earlier the site in Raevskaya with an area of ​​842 hectares belonged to Abrau-Dyurso. The company acquired it in 2018 and planned to plant grape seedlings here, and get the first harvest in 2021.

Later, a source close to Abrau-Durso spoke about the sale of the site. The amount of the transaction was not called. According to analysts, a land plot suitable for viticulture in Raevskaya with an area of ​​about 600 hectares could cost the buyer about 200 million rubles.

In January 2022, it became known that the agricultural holding was discussing an agreement with the administration of Novorossiysk on the implementation of this investment project. Then it became known about the planned volume of investments - it exceeded 1 billion rubles.
