The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic, Mevlut Cavusoglu, expressed condolences on the death of the diplomat on Twitter.
“Unfortunately, today we have lost our esteemed friend, Consul General in St. Petersburg Mehmet Ferhan Yorulmaz,” the Foreign Minister said. He also expressed condolences to the Consul General's family.

Mehmet Ferhan Yorulmaz was born in 1964, Milliyet points out.
