
MD Medical Group (MC "Mother and Child") is one of the leaders in the Russian market of private medical services. Today, the group unites 43 medical institutions, including six general hospitals and 37 outpatient clinics operating in 25 regions of Russia.
The history of the group began in 2006 with the opening of the first private maternity hospital in Russia - the Perinatal Medical Center in Moscow. Today, the company offers patients such medical services as cardiology, oncology, traumatology, women's HEALTH, obstetrics, pediatrics and others. The founder, CEO and member of the Board of Directors, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, DOCTOR of Medical Sciences Mark Kurtser is at the HEAD of the Mother and Child Group of Companies.
The group's shares in the form of global depositary receipts (GDRs) have been traded on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) since October 2012. Since November 2020, MD Medical Group receipts have also been traded on the Moscow Exchange. MD Medical Holding Limited, owned by Mark Kurtser, owns 67.9% of the group's shares. About 32.1% of securities are in free circulation (free float). Among the minority investors of MD Medical Group at the end of 2020 were RDIF (5.5%), Russia Partners Advisors (4.3%), Norges Bank (2.8%), JP Morgan Asset Management (2.1%), East Capital (1.7%), Prosperity Capital (1.3%) and a number of other well-known investment funds.
Over the past eight years, the number of medical institutions included in the group has quadrupled, consolidated revenue has grown by almost five times, and EBITDA by three and a half times.
