Minnesota hockey player Kirill Kaprizov scored 43 goals and made 50 assists in 71 games and is the leading Russian scorer of the season in the league (seventh place among all NHL players) and the second Russian sniper after Alexander Ovechkin, who has 47 goals.
In Saturday's game against St. Louis, Kaprizov scored five minutes before the end of the third period and sent the game into overtime, but in the end his team lost (5:6 OT).
The 24-year-old Russian scored his 43rd goal of the season, setting a new club record. The previous achievement belonged to Marian Gaborik and Erik Staal, who scored 42 goals in the 2007/08 and 2017/18 seasons.
Previously, the striker broke the club record for points (85) in a season. In total, Kaprizov has 93 (43 + 50) points in 73 matches this season. He is ranked eighth on the league's top scorer list.
