
Dubai-based Emirates Airline posted a $1.1 billion loss for the year ended March 31. it is reported by CNBC.
The company posted a $5.5 billion loss a year earlier. The carrier also said its revenue jumped 91% year-over-year to $16.1 billion.
“2021-2022 has been largely about recovering from the most difficult year in our group's history,” Emirates Group President and CEO Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum said in a statement.
According to him, the group will return to profitability in 2022-2023.
