Jen Psaki contracted COVID-19

The official representative of the US White House,  Jen Psaki, has contracted the CORONAVIRUS and is forced to remain in quarantine. This is stated in a statement from the White House, reports CNN.

“On Wednesday, in coordination with senior White House officials and the medical team, I made the decision not to travel overseas with the president due to a family emergency, which was that my family members tested positive for covid-19 . Since then, I have been placed in quarantine, ”Psaki’s words are quoted in the statement.

According to her, she took negative PCR tests for COVID-19 on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, but on Sunday, October 31, her test was positive.

Psaki clarified that "since Wednesday she had no personal contact with President [US Joe Biden] and high-ranking officials of the White House." “I am reporting today’s positive test for reasons of transparency <...> Thanks to the vaccine, I have only mild symptoms, which allowed me to continue working from home,” the spokeswoman said.
