Unreasonable refusal to vaccinate against CORONAVIRUS and the dissemination of false information about vaccinations is not welcome. This follows from the fatwa issued by the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of RUSSIA (DSMR).
“The categorical unreasonable refusal of vaccination and the spread of fake rumors about its composition and consequences is not welcome,” the fatwa says. According to the document, Russian preparations for vaccination meet high international requirements, and all believers should be vaccinated for themselves and their relatives if there are no contraindications to this.
Muslims were assured of the absence of prohibited components in "Sputnik V" Society
The fatwa also orders individual prayers on the day of Eid al-Adha, social distancing in mosques, not shaking hands, performing traditional holiday rituals, and ordering sacrificial rites online.
In June, the HEAD of the Synodal Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Hilarion, said that a person who refuses to be vaccinated against the coronavirus causes potential harm not only to himself, but also to those around him. According to the metropolitan, it is important to observe the principle of voluntariness in relation to vaccinations, "but there is also the principle of people's responsibility for the lives of other people."
