Businessman Oleg Deripaska offered to leave the army and navy, but cut the state apparatus in half, and power structures - three to five times

Russian entrepreneur Oleg Deripaska, in an interview with the Expert publication, proposed abandoning state capitalism, reducing the state apparatus and law enforcement agencies by several times.

“Why is he [the state apparatus]? Just take it in half and cut. Abandon all personal cars, leave 100 personal cars in the country and, as they say, start all over again. It is necessary to cut this incomprehensible force-law enforcement component three to five times. Leave the army and navy, since this is the only stronghold, ”he said.

Deripaska also wondered why Art. 159 and 160 of the Criminal Code on fraud and misappropriation or embezzlement. “Our entrepreneur is the only source. We need to release everyone who is sitting there, give them the opportunity to work,” he added.

Deripaska criticized the idea of a "head of import substitution" Economics

The state should "cut all the luxury of the state bourgeoisie," and send those who disagree to retire into private business, Deripaska stressed. According to him, the entrepreneur must be freed from everything and appropriate changes should be made to the Constitution.

The businessman noted that if RUSSIA , like CHINA , wants to set itself the goal of building an average-income society for almost everyone, then this is possible through economic growth and through the participation of free economic entities. “Accordingly, everything must be done so that they have such an opportunity,” he concluded.

Deripaska recalled that a free market competitive economy is based on private property and the main actor is the entrepreneur. According to him, if Russia reduces transaction costs, value added tax and avoids import restrictions on equipment, then foreign investors will want to come to Russia.

He stressed that the country needs to confirm the “sacred right of private property” so that the entrepreneur “probably not from Europe, but from some India or Southeast Asia” knows that no one will touch him.

At the end of February, after the introduction of the first packages of international sanctions against Russia, Deripaska called for "an end to all this state capitalism", explaining that in a "real crisis" real crisis managers are needed. In his opinion, "to sit out", as in 2014, will not work - it is necessary to change the economic policy.
