Deputy Rashkin announced a positive test for COVID-19

State Duma deputy from the Communist Party Valery Rashkin has contracted a CORONAVIRUS infection. He announced this on his Twitter page.

“Dear friends, I passed a positive test for covid. I feel good,” he wrote.

According to the deputy, due to his illness, he was forced to cancel the upcoming broadcast with State Duma deputy Nikolai Bondarenko, which politicians had previously announced on Rashkin's YouTube channel. He added that the audience is waiting for a video where the deputies discuss the upcoming elections, and promised to meet live later.

Earlier, Rashkin asked Rospotrebnadzor to check the words of the TV presenter of the program “Live healthy!” Elena Malysheva, who said that wearing masks does not reduce the risk of contracting coronavirus. So, in one of the episodes of the program, Malysheva said that by abolishing the mask regime in the country, one could see milder forms of the disease. “If you are wearing a mask, you are breathing in your germs and viruses, increasing their concentration. And without a mask, the concentration decreases, ”she said.
