The number of COVID-19 infections in Russia fell below 28,000 for the first time since October 8.

Over the previous day, 27,743 COVID-19 infections were detected in Russia , according to data from the federal operational headquarters. Compared to the previous day, their number has noticeably decreased (it was 28,486) and for the first time since October 8, it fell below 28,000.

Most infections per day were detected in Moscow (2755), St. Petersburg (1984) and the Moscow region (1452).

In the same day, 1080 people died from COVID-19 in Russia - at least since October 25 (there were 1069 deaths).
