The number of cases of COVID-19 in Russia per day again fell below 9 thousand

In RUSSIA, 8,832 cases of CORONAVIRUS were detected per day, 394 people died, the operational headquarters said. In total, since the beginning of the epidemic, 5.09 million cases of covid-19 have been detected in the country , 122.2 thousand people have died.

The methodology for calculating mortality, which is used by the operational headquarters, differs from the methodology of Rosstat. The statistical office takes into account all deaths after COVID-19, even those cases where the virus did not become the main cause of death, but had a significant impact on the development of complications of another disease. According to Rosstat, by the end of March 2021, almost 250,000 people with COVID-19 had died in Russia.

In Moscow, compared with the data for June 1, a decrease in the number of cases for knocking by 20% was recorded - it amounted to 2842 (compared to 3669 the day before). Died from COVID-19 in the capital 60 people per day.
