Against the background of the worsening situation with the spread of CORONAVIRUS, the authorities of Montenegro have tightened the conditions for entry for foreign citizens, follows from a message from the government of the country.

From August 24, one of the following documents will be required to enter the country:

certificate of vaccination with one or both doses (Montenegro recognizes vaccination with Sputnik V); certificate of transferred covid-19 (must be at least 14 days from the date of recovery and no more than 180 days from the date of issue); a negative result of a PCR test done no more than 72 hours before; a negative result of a rapid test taken no more than 48 hours before.

Certificates will not be needed when entering Montenegro from Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Kosovo and North Macedonia, but this relief applies only to citizens of these countries. Russian tourists will have to present one of the four specified documents, regardless of where they entered Montenegro from.
