The current regulation does not contain any provisions that link the cost of credit insurance with the presence or absence of vaccination against covid-19 , the Central Bank told RBC.

“Insurance regulation currently does not have any provisions regarding vaccination. The Bank of Russia received no appeals on the topic of discrimination against the unvaccinated, ”the Central Bank replied.

The regulator stressed that a draft regulation is now being discussed, which establishes requirements for credit insurance. “The document also does not contain any provisions on vaccination,” the Bank of Russia noted.

Earlier, the Izvestia newspaper reported that next year the cost of insurance when obtaining a mortgage or a large loan could be made dependent on whether the borrower has taken root from COVID-19 or not.
